About Us

Our Charity

The George Bray Sports Association (GBSA), a registered charity in London, Ontario, that has been providing those with special needs the opportunity to play hockey for more than 52 years.

Today, GBSA proudly supports approximately 252 athletes across 18 teams, creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where players build confidence, develop life skills, form lasting friendships, and experience the many physical, social, and emotional benefits of sport.

Every dollar raised through Spin 2 Skate goes directly toward helping GBSA continue providing accessible hockey programs and life-changing opportunities for athletes of all abilities. Your support helps remove barriers, grow inclusive programming, and ensure more children have the opportunity to experience the power of being part of a team.

Whether you ride, volunteer, sponsor, or donate, you are making a lasting difference in the lives of these incredible athletes.

Our Founders

Spin 2 Skate was founded by Jessica Ashton, Lyn Carapella, and Karen Wilson.

After Jessica's son, Ashton, was diagnosed with autism, she became passionate about advocating for children with special needs and creating more opportunities for inclusion. That passion inspired Spin 2 Skate, with the goal of helping more children experience the confidence, friendships, and sense of belonging that come from being part of a team.

Through deep friendships, Jessica, Lyn, and Karen have combined their passion for fitness, community, and inclusion to support the George Bray Sports Association and its mission of making hockey accessible to athletes of all abilities.

The event is led by veteran spin instructor Karen Wilson, who will take on the challenge of four continuous hours on the bike, motivating riders every pedal stroke of the way. Whether you ride for 30 minutes or all four hours, every ride helps change lives. Challenge yourself, rally your friends, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
